FitBless (“we,” “us,” “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable privacy laws, including requirements for apps distributed through the Apple App Store. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and your rights regarding your personal information when you use our mobile application (the “App”).

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We collect the following categories of information, either directly from you, automatically from your device, or from third-party integrations you authorize:

  • Referral data (when you invite or are invited by others)
  • Photos you choose to upload for progress tracking and comparison
  • Messages, posts, or content you voluntarily share in the in-app Group Chat or Community Feed

Health and Fitness Data
  • Progress photos and photo comparison data
  • Body measurements and fitness metrics
  • Food logs and AI-scanned meals
  • Meal preferences and dietary goals
  • Workout history, streaks, and completion records

  • Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers

  • App usage events (e.g., feature usage, chat activity, progress uploads, time spent in app)

Payment & Subscription Data
  • Subscription status, plan type, and renewal dates (via Apple In-App Purchase)
  • Transaction history (Apple does not share your full payment details with us)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

  • Deliver and maintain app features, including workouts, meal planning, AI scanning, photo comparison, group messaging, and progress tracking
  • Personalize your fitness and nutrition journey
  • Enable participation in community chats, posts, and challenges
  • Send notifications (e.g., workout reminders, replies in chat, progress updates, special offers)
  • Process referrals, reward unlocks, and promotional campaigns
  • Improve app functionality, performance, and security
  • Comply with legal and safety obligations
  • Display dynamic motivational content and track retention metrics
  • Monitor and moderate community interactions to prevent abuse, spam, or violations of our Terms of Service

We do not use your data for targeted advertising to you on third-party platforms without your consent.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data in the following limited ways:

  • Service Providers: We use trusted partners to provide app functionality, such as:
    Firebase (authentication, analytics, crash reporting), RevenueCat (subscription management), Branch.io (deep linking and referral tracking), OpenAI (AI-generated coaching and meal suggestions), Nutrition databases (Nutritionix, USDA, or OpenFoodFacts for food analysis)
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose data to law enforcement, regulators, or as otherwise required by law.
  • User-Authorized Sharing: With your explicit permission, we may feature or share your progress photos, testimonials, or transformation images for motivational or promotional purposes (for example, on the in-app community feed, social media pages, or marketing materials). We will always obtain your opt-in consent first, and you can withdraw that permission at any time in the app settings or by contacting support@fitbless.app
  • Community Moderation: Messages and posts in the group chat may be processed by moderation or anti-spam systems to maintain a safe environment.
  • Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

All third parties are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection agreements.

5. AI, Images, and Sensitive Data Handling

  • AI Photo Processing: Progress photos are processed securely and only used to provide personalized feedback.
  • Meal Scanning: Photos taken for food logging are processed to identify foods and estimate nutritional content.
  • No Facial Recognition: We do not perform face recognition or biometric profiling.
  • Photo Comparison: The before-and-after feature stores the photos you select and displays them only within your private account. These images are never visible to other users unless you share them intentionally.
  • Admin Access (with Consent): FitBless team members or system administrators can only view your progress photos or comparison images if you explicitly grant permission (for example, when you submit photos for a transformation challenge, support request, or opt-in promotional feature). Without your consent, these photos remain fully private and inaccessible to our staff.
  • Data Retention: Uploaded or generated images are deleted if you remove them from your progress history, withdraw your consent, or delete your account.

6. Group Chat & Community Messaging

The group chat is an optional community space for FitBless users.
By participating, you acknowledge:

  • Messages and shared media are visible to other members in the chat.
  • You should avoid sharing personal information, medical details, or anything you do not wish to be public.
  • We may automatically or manually moderate content for spam, abuse, or violations of our community guidelines.
  • Messages may be retained for safety and community moderation purposes even if you delete your account, as required by law.
  • Private one-on-one messages are end-to-end encrypted where technically supported.

7. Health & Safety Considerations

If you identify as breastfeeding during setup, calorie and nutritional targets are adjusted to support healthy milk production. Nutrient-dense, whole foods are recommended. You should always consult a medical professional before starting any diet or exercise program.

8. Your Rights & Controls

You may:

  • Access, update, or delete your information via in-app settings or by contacting us
  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Delete progress photos, chat messages, or your entire account
  • Opt out of push notifications in your device settings
  • Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time

We respond to verified privacy requests within 30 days.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. We may retain certain data for legal, accounting, or safety reasons, even after account deletion.

10. Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures, including:

  • End-to-end encryption in transit (TLS) and encryption at rest
  • Access controls for sensitive or health-related data
  • Regular security reviews and vulnerability monitoring

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we strive to protect your data with the highest reasonable safeguards.

11. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age. If we learn that we have collected such data without parental consent, we will delete it immediately.

12. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in the U.S. or other regions where our providers operate. By using the App, you consent to such transfers, subject to appropriate protections.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify you through the App or by email before they take effect.
